There is no getting around it: practice really helps. Casting accurately means fishing -- or else defoliating the trees around you. Try different techniques: sidearm, overhand, backhand, underhand. Try using a 3/8oz spinnerbait to hit a plastic cup or pail about ten-15 feet away.
